Although the tree decorations are back under the stairs until next year, the tree itself chopped up and ready for the municipal compost collection, the cards bagged up for recycling and all traces of glitter and pine needles vacuumed up ... there are still little festive pockets here and there in my house. Most of them, it's true, are edible and a reminder (yet again!!) to NOT BUY SO MUCH next year!
Having said that, I rather like this little glass of candy canes ... they put me in mind of a huge but friendly spider from Willy Wonka's chocolate factory, or the "Toot Sweets" factory from Chitty Chitty Bang Bang!
